I have taught many classes over the years, including Medicinal Salves and Balms
and Intro to Medicinal Herbs, but perhaps the most popular is the Edible Weeds 101 class.
Offered through the Olympia Food Co-op and GRuB, the course covers common "weeds"
growing in the Pacific Northwest.
Currently I am developing a packet for a Systematic Gardening class, which will be available
for purchase soon. Pre-orders are also welcome. The course will cover companion planting,
nutrition charts and recipes, preserving methods, a bibliography of herbalism,
gardening and livestock, edible weed references and much more.
Upcoming classes include Medicinal Salves and Balms, held on Feb. 24 at the Mountain View
branch of the Timberland Library System, in Randle. I will also present
Edible Weeds 101 at the Lacey branch library, on March 31.
Contact the libraries for registration information -
Mountain View's number is 360-497-2665 and the Lacey number is 360-491-3860.
For those at a distance from Olympia, the handouts are available to purchase for $5 each.
Drop me an e-mail with your name and address, and
upon receipt of the payment, I will ship them right out.
